1. Features (and bugs) of the mp3toogg suite

The mp3toogg 2.0 release (see the ChangeLog) suite is composed of two programs:

mp3toogg:
Requires: mpg321, mp3info, oggenc, vorbiscomment.
Usage: mp3toogg [OPTION] FILE... DIRECTORY...
-b VALUE: force output bitrate instead of automatically choosing the best one (useful for downsampling)
-c: do not delete mp3 file after a correct conversion
-f: try to convert mp3 files regardless of their exstension
-h: display this page and exit
-l: write to log file instead of stderr
 -n: don't follow symlinks
-o: replace existing ogg file if needed
-q: minimum verbosity level (display only fatal errors and license on stderr)
 -r: descend into subdirectories
-V: print version information and exit

mp3toogg-gui:
Requires: zenity, mp3toogg.
Usage:
mp3toogg-gui
No parameters are needed (this is really an end-user interface! :-) )
KNOWN ISSUE: new versions of zenity (>= 2.6) don't allow selection of directories, this means that with those versions you won't be able to convert the entire directory content via gui-interface. This is a zenity bug.

4. Help!

Packagers: Are you willing to find mp3toogg packaged for your distribution? Do it! Show what you can and provide a package. ;-)
Translators: Make mp3toogg speak your tongue! Take the po/mp3toogg.pot file and translate the messages.
Hints: use msginit with -l option (referer to msginit man page); emacs has a very good po mode; graphical tools for gnome and kde exist: gtranslator and kbabel.
